Easter

Easter Sunday with Kris, Amy and the Super Ks was one of the best days of the year.  We drove up to Denver in brilliant sunshine, temps in the mid 60's  and nary a cloud in the sky!  Kris and Amy invited us to spend Easter with them and the boys.  A fun filled day that started with the boys going to church with Mom and Dad and coming home to find that the Easter bunny had left a bunch of "plastic" eggs in the backyard.  After searching and finding all the Easter eggs it was time to prepare the feast and of course play with Kasey and Karsten.  The Super Ks did not disappoint and they kept Grandma and Grandpa very busy while Amy and Kris prepared a meal befitting a King!  You know too many cooks spoil the broth!

Can't believe the Super Ks sat down long enough to get a picture with Grandma and George.  Kasey calls Pat, Grandma but he addresses George as George!  He is a character.

Karsten picking up his eggs

Kasey is hard at work finding eggs,

Karsten is seeing how many eggs he has while Kasey wants to start eating.  You might notice how many eggs Kasey found!

Kasey has to use his toy drill to help "George" fix an electrical problem with daddy's  boat.  Karsten is just trying to find out why Grandpa and Kasey are so busy!

After all the great food, it was time for a long walk.  Obviously, Amy took over the boys stroller and poor Grandma had to push her!

Kris was leading the way and finally Amy is pushing the stroller instead riding!

What a wonderful day, the only thing that could have made it better was if David did not have to work and could have helped us eat some of the food and maybe help push Amy in the stroller.  Just kidding, the picture of Amy was staged (or was it?).  We hope all of you enjoyed Easter Sunday with loved ones and that you also remember why we celebrate Easter with our families.

Just to let all our friends know, the chemo treatments are going well.  Still no side effects and coming back to Denver every six months allows us to enjoy the Super Ks and our family.  Heads up to our western friends...we will be driving to San Diego next month and starting our trip up the West Coast to Seattle at the beginning of June.  Our plans are a little like Jello right now but as we pour a little concrete on them we will keep you posted  It should be a great trip with a chance to see some wonderful friends and  more of "Our Backyards"!
